Little Olivia came to my studio at only six days old which is a fantastic age to photograph a newborn because like her, they tend to be super sleepy and womb like! Mom Done had been busy on Etsy buying some really cute and fun outfits for her to wear which was great to try new things. Dad Jason had his mother in town too so it was a joy to get some three generation shots, they always look so magical I think. For first time parents and newborn session they were so unbelievably chilled, helping out where I needed it and even shedding the odd tear here and there. They were so cute! :)

Estelle's Newborn Studio Shoot

Baby Estelle, Rebecca, Robin, Liam & Matteo

It can be difficult with such a creative profession to come up with unique and fresh ideas for every shoot but not this one. It's a lot of fun when the client has their own ideas, even more so when they have a theme too. :) Baby Estelle's daddy Robin was french so they wanted a couple of french themed photos using some amazing props that they had brought along with them. My favourite was the huge "Boulangerie" board. When a client has these ideas it's up to me as the photographer to implement them in a creative but stylish way, so its always a welcome challenge to push my skills. The whole family were amazing after Estelle's older brothers Liam and Matteo had had their own newborn shoots before AND even done some professional modelling too. I couldn't believe my luck when I was able to try some sibling shots I'd been toying with for a while. Perfect shoot!!

Rex's Newborn Studio Shoot

Baby Rex, Laura & Nick

I am good friends with Laura and Nick so I was particularly honoured when asked to photograph their beautiful baby boy Rex! Now the most striking thing about Rex was his INCREDIBLE barnet (hair). I absolutely love photographing babies with a full head of hair because I think it gives them so much character and they look adorable! Some of the poses we were trying with Rex were particularly challenging but he was sooooo sleepy that he made it easy for me. I really dream baby to work with!
